Revolutionary Hydraulic Pump

Aussie Pumps has recently received a huge market response for the release of their new GMP range of self-priming hydraulic drive pumps. Tanker manufacturers and drill rig operators have been quick to convert to the new range of pumps with their obvious advantages and compared to more conventional pumps.

Revolutionary Hydraulic Pump

The new GMP range uses lower capacity hydraulic motors (22cc hydraulic oil/rev) but compensates by producing a higher pressure (150 bar). This allows more trucks and plant to use their existing hydraulic systems to drive the pumps. With smaller footprints and  flexible installation options, the new range of pumps will also deliver major cost and time savings on service.

“In remote, dry locations it can be a constant battle to keep engine drive pumps from dusting,” said Aussie Pump product manager Mood Ellahi. “Hydraulic drive pumps are far more robust and require virtually no maintenance.” The company believes hydraulic drive self-priming pumps are revolutionising the tanker and drill rig market.

These pumps self-prime with a vertical 6m lift, and features a front-mounted cleanout port. This allows debris to be removed from the pump body without disassembly of suction or discharge lines.

The pumps themselves all feature open, non clog-style impellers, classified as a “semi-trash” design. They come with heavy-duty cast-iron foot mounts that are mounted on skids or rails, depending on the size. Heavy-duty silicon carbide/alumina mechanical seal faces with Nitrile rubber elastomers protect the motor from the pumped liquid. There are also Tungsten carbide with Viton options available. Casappa and Vivoil gear motors are used for their reliability and affordability.

Overall, the pumps feature outstanding flow and pressure characteristics, the ability to handle spherical solids of up to 39mm,  deliver flows up to 2200 litres per minute and offer heads as high as 55m. Aussie’s new GMP range of compact, self-priming pumps will eliminate the use of small petrol or diesel-powered pumps, saving on fuel, maintenance and space.

Currently, Australian Pump Industries is developing 316 stainless steel and nickel aluminium bronze versions of the same pump. These versions will be provided to the Mining Industry where highly abrasive and corrosive liquids require handling. All Australian Pump Industry products are made in accordance with ISO 9001 certifications.
