CleanLIFT Comes Clean

Model: Aussie Monsoon 400 Maxi

Hobart based CleanLIFT Marine has a great reputation for prompt and efficient pleasure boat and ship repairs.  The company recently took delivery of a heavy duty Aussie Eco-Clean 4,000 psi Hydroblaster to complement their 70 tonne self propelled straddle crane service.

With the straddle crane they can lift vessels out of the water that weigh up to 70 tonnes and up to 25 metres in length.  The Aussie Hydroblaster, called the Monsoon 400 Maxi, then provides up to 6,400 psi EWP (Effective Working Pressure) to defoul the boats and quickly get them ready for repainting.

“The big pressure cleaner packs a real punch delivering 21 litres of flow per minute at super high pressures” said Chris Smith.

“The machine is built like a tank with a slow speed 11 kW 4 pole motor and 4 big pneumatic tyres to make it easier to move around” he said.

The heart of the Hydroblaster is a “Big Berty” Bertolini 4,000 psi pump with ceramic pistons.  The pump features stainless steel valves as standard equipment and oversized bearings for long trouble free life.

Like all Aussie Monsoon series pressure cleaners the big blaster comes complete with ASP (Aussie Safety Protection).  That system consists of a safety valve that protects the operator and the machine from pressure spikes while a thermal dump prevents the machine over heating in the event of continuous bypass operation.

The machine is protected by a heavy duty steel wrap around frame and is fitted with the heaviest duty switch in the business.  This proves protection from overload and high amp draw.

To make it more even more user friendly the machine is supplied by Aussie Pumps with an integrated hose reel with 30 metres of high pressure super wire braid water blaster hose fitted.   That extra hose gives the operator the ability to move around the vessel without having to move the machine every 10 minutes.

CleanLIFT have a special washdown area and a treatment plant to prevent toxic outfalls from returning to the river environment.   The treatment plant exceeds all the guidelines set by government for use in marine slipways.

The company also boasts Tasmania’s first CleanLIFT installation, including a large lock up yard and undercover workshop at their Prince of Wales Bay work site in Hobart.  Wharf facilities are available for vessels up to 3.5 metres draft and the company provides all trades for repairs including welding, engineering, machinists as well as fibreglassers, plastic fabricators, painters and shipwrights. CleanLIFT also operate an undercover facility available for boats up to 25 metres in length.

The big Aussie pressure cleaner provides and added degree of efficiency to the yard with jobs being carried out promptly and efficiently.
