A Diesel Kohler powered heavy duty drive pressure cleaner designed specifically for truck mounted applications has been released by Australian Pump Industries. Called the Aussie Predator, the machine develops 5,000 PSI and is powered by a Kolher air cooled 23HP diesel engine.
The heart of the system is a RAL series “Big Berty” Bertolini triplex pump that develops flows of up to 20 litres per minute. It’s that high flow, combined with 5000 psi that make the machine ideal for corrosion control, machinery clean up on mine sites or non-destructive digging.
“Using a big machine like the Aussie Predator for cleaning crawler dozers, dump trucks or face shovels saves huge amounts of time and water,” said Aussie Pumps product manager Greg Hulbert. “The impact of the high velocity water jet cuts through mud, dust and grease in a fraction of the time taken by conventional pressure cleaners,” he said.
The Aussie Predator is supplied with ASP (Aussie Safety Protection) as standard equipment. This includes a safety valve to protect operator and machine from pressure spikes and a thermal dump, to protect against continuous by-pass running. The skid mounted kit also includes a 5,000 PSI rated gun, lance and nozzle.
The machine can be used with an Aussie TurboMaster turbo lance that provides an effective working pressure of 8,500 PSI. “The turbo strips paint, rust and corrosion fast without the danger or nuisance of using hard abrasives,” said Hulbert.
The machine comes on a heavy duty steel base plate ready for easy mounting on to tankers or trucks. “The machine is more a piece of construction plant than it is a pressure cleaner,” said Hulbert. “They’re set up ready to go, they just need to be bolted down,” he said.
