Grant Barron from Tara delivers Anipro, a liquid protein and vitamin feed supplement, to Queensland beef farmers. He bought an Aussie 2” Smart Pump 15 years ago. It is used to load his 10,000-litre tanker and 12,000-litre dog trailer tanker. On average, the pump allows him to deliver 40,000 litres of Anipro per day. That’s 10 million litres per year!
“The pump is 15 years old and has done a tremendous service,” said Grant Barron. “I am able to load and unload my tankers fast and the pump handles molasses based liquids with ease,” he said.

Versatile Options
The Aussie Smart pump is available in 2” or 3” configuration with either a high head or high flow impeller option. The high head impeller is capable of producing maximum heads to 37m. The high flow impeller delivers up to 835 lpm in the 2″ version or 1,010 lpm for 3” pumps.
The pump’s unique glass-filled polyester construction and stainless steel fasteners are impervious to corrosion. The standard 2″ version is fitted with EPDM o-rings and check valve. Viton elastomers are standard for the 3” model.
While Honda petrol drive Smart Pumps are the most common configuration, the same pumps are also available with either hydraulic or electric drive.
Single-phase and 3 phase close-coupled electric motor drive versions allow for simple installation. They’re all fitted with the unique device called “Protek”. This fits between the pump and the electric motor. In the event of a seal failure, the Protek system prevents the liquid from running down the pump shaft into the electric motor.
